all the temps just got laid off.... i hate it when they pull that shit without notice on a friday afternoon... shitty way to treat your people..
anyhoo thats 20 people gone.... makes it a lot harder for me to arse about and not get noticed... better practice my looking busy moves

Better to have to pretend you’re busy than get laid off I suppose.
I was laid off once years ago, and the hollow numb feeling while driving home is not something I ever want to experie nce again.

I had a guy tell me early on that all you have to do to look busy is get up and walk around with some papers or drawings every 15-20 minutes. Yeah he didn’t get much done.

yeah...ive been laid off a couple times...its a shitty feeling
this time i got a proper contract just a few weeks before corona turned up...
lucky
still...till rona buggers off jobsecurity is pretty much gone...i’ll just get a months warning if they decide i need to be gone...sure beats getting canned on the day tho

I’ve been laid off once, and I was notified just after landing in Florida for a week of vacation and the Rolex 24. When I saw a missed call from my boss I knew it couldn’t be anything good. At least I had a nice relaxing week to process it all.

Tennant will always be THE doctor. He absolutely owned that role. But Ecclestone will always be my favorite. He had a way about him.
